They worked together on "Selma," a  film which chronicles Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s quest to secure equal voting rights and “Middle of Nowhere” a movie which followed a medical student forced to reevaluate her life after her husband is incarcerated and have developed a great friendship over the years so it was no surprise Duvernay wanted to support Oyelowo.

She hosted the special screening of "Don’t Let Go," a time traveling thriller directed by Jacob Estes which Oyelowo also serves as a producer on.

In the drama, Oyelowo plays a detective called Jack Radcliff who travels back in time to stop his niece's murder. Storm Reid, Brian Tyree Henry, Mykelti Williamson, Alfred Molina and Jamil Smith also star.
