Bridging The Gap With The Diaspora Dialogues

Why is there a divide between Africans from the diaspora and African Americans? That's the question Gbam's Samantha Ofole-Prince asked at the launch party of The Africa Channel’s new talk show series "The Diaspora Dialogues," which aims to bridge that cultural gap between Africans from the motherland and blacks outside of the continent.

A smart and engaging series created by media maven Koshie Mills, the weekly talk show not only explores the negative media imagery of Africa, but discusses pertinent issues such as stereotypes, complexion, identity and race all while discussing the feud between Africans and African Americans and whether these diverging groups can unite.
